If you are searching for truly unique vacation lodging, come to the heart of the Texas hill country on the banks of the Guadalupe river for a Texas tipi camping experience. Imagine spending your nights in an authentic tipi, where the fire pit's warm glow and crackling embers erase the stress of life's everyday demands and only then can you truly relax!
Texas TiPi's main tee-pee is a 22' with a clean and dry concrete floor, propane gas fire pit (with petrified logs) sits in the center. An electrical outlet, free Wi Fi & Native American decor, will give you a chance to experience life as our ancestors did (with a little more comfort). Wake to the morning sun after sleeping under the moon and stars.
We have an outdoor, partially enclosed shower open only to the sky, next to our campground restroom, which is about 100 yards away, and there is potable water available next to the shower. We can provide a bedroll, linens & towels, if you forgot to bring your own. We have some firewood available for the outside Star of Texas fire pit. The Tipi campground does have electricity with lights.
The (outside of tipi) star-shaped fire pit is close by, a grill for cooking and wooden benches for sitting. You can use the pit or grill for cooking,
What to bring: flashlight, cooler, insect repellent, other camping gear you may want. All food must be in coolers to keep the varmints away. You will be walking from the parking lot about 50 yards to the tipi, so we will provide a cart for your gear. Remember this is a Native American tipi, and you will be camping in an area surrounded by huge Oak, Elm, Pecan and Cypress trees. The Elm tree is the home to all types of Texas wildlife, mostly insects.
Check in for the tipi is between 3 p.m. & 9 p.m. The Green cart will have a map to the tipi in case we are not there to greet you.
Rate: $95 per evening.
